Was it after his movie and during the nose job or when we left Krock?
I think he started wearing a wig right out of highschool.
That footage of him wrestling a chick is pretty old, I think that's the oldest wig footage, and its gotta be 25 years ago
That was exposing his receding hair line. I think sometime shortly after Private Parts is when he started. When the Wig became self aware and took over his mind is anyone's guess.
Harlock's right... it was after the movie- not during it.
Maybe during all of the tv interviews promoting that piece of shit lie of a movie.
He had to wear them for the movie, so he would have learned about them then. Afterwards, he would know their capabilities. I wonder when he met and hired Toni?
I think you are probably right.
This is what i don't get. There's a childhood photo of Howard (which i just tried to look for, unsuccessfully), with his mom & sister -- in that pic, his hair is completely straight. Could it be that Howard started perming as a teen (trying to be Jimmy Page), fucked up his scalp, went bald & took the wig route?
REPS for that theory.
Perm chemicals burned his hair and killed the roots... bald by vanity.
so do i.
but it's like coloring your hair...once you start, you can't just stop.
the late 1980's/ early 1990's
Not positive, but I think I think she was there for PP, not sure how long before that... seemed to recall her mentioned on the Channel 9 show(??).
In the contract that surfaced in the lawsuit for his next (aborted) movie there was language to the effect of, "The hair artist will be of first priority" and she got to fly Business Class and Ralph only got to fly coach
I asked this in another thread and never got a response: is Robin still friends with Alison?
i don't think Robin has ever been friends with anyone in her life.
But i know that's what you're asking.
I would say no, but i have no knowledge of the situation at all.
In '84 he turned 30 so that's the time most guys start to loose their hair.
This is from the end credits of the E! Interview Show, which was last taped in August of 1993:
That didn't appear on most episodes, though. Usually Ralph was credited with doing Howard's hair.
Ralph was also credited (at least on-air) as Howard's hair stylist during the early days of the second E! Show.
Howard often yelled at him for barging into the studio multiple times a show, in order to "touch up" Howard's hair, when it was really a ploy to get on camera.

"The hair personnel shall be first priority to Artist"
She has seen the Wig's Lair. She does not leave Wiggy and live!
Signed Confidentiality Agreement I'm sure. I'll bet she could write a great tell-all book..
IMO, right when he went from long hair, to a jheri curl (aka, wig).
