"WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WPBF/CNN) - A Florida man attacked and killed his neighbor with a machete, a dispute neighbors say happened because the victim wouldn't clean up his dog's poop from the man's lawn.

When two sheriff's deputies responded, one attended to the stabbing victim. The other repeatedly told the man to put down the knife, but he charged the deputy, who opened fire and killed him.

The neighbors are still in shock and some are even packing up and leaving.

"That happens on my lawn and I just stand at my door and look at them." said Cynthia Ingraham. "But I don't carry on and make something out of it because my husband can wash it down. I can't believe the neighbors would get into it .. a machete, and now they lost their lives."

The deputy involved in the shooting is on administrative leave following protocol. A woman also injured by the machete underwent surgery and is expected to be OK."

I have no problem with a mandatory Three Day waiting period on the sale of machetes.

Okay, but what about limitations on the sale of assault machetes?

No reasonable person can have a problem with that, amirite? :dontknow:

By responsible, do you imply that we should be targeting the actual problem? Or should we just be demonizing a group that isn't the problem because it makes us feel Better?

Do you really need a six-inch blade?

    4 inches is fine. :grad:

of course, but the actual problem and solution(if there even is any) is debatable, and i dont think debate on any subject/problem should be squelched.
i think all bills should be put up for debate and vote.
i dont feel any group should be demonized
