My dad made me a bat house last year and my niece painted her version of bats on it. I finally got around to hanging it today and I'm hoping to attract a bunch of those insect eating fuckers.....hopefully soon. WGAS/WGAF :c

very cool. i like bats. i've seen huge swarms taking off from their roosts a few times.
    a sight to behold.

opening and closing that door could be a problem. the sound and vibration might disturb them. :dontknow:

I have a nice size pond but really don't have a mosquito problem. Not sure why but I'm just glad we don't. I've seen bats around the property but never in large numbers. If we can attract the bats they'll have a hearty feast on flys and horse flys......those fuckers get ponderous in the middle to late summer near the barn.

This is really the best place that we had to put it. You are supposed to have unobstructed access within 15 feet for them to fly in and any other place we could put it had trees or our hay shed in the way. That door is open, basically all summer and closed all of winter so the disturbances should be minimal.

cover your hair so they don't get their feets stuck in it. they then bite you to death.

    it's a whole thing.

Groovy, I even like the artwork on it. Bats are cool, but I always hear they're prolific rabies carriers for whatever reason.....:worried:
