    I don't think a pitching coach or anybody including a catcher should be allowed to have meetings at the mound. If they go out there , that should mean pitcher is being taken out of the game. It's the pro level , pitchers at this point don't need face to face meetings. Thanks for your comments in advance.

    The visits to the mound settles them down. If nothing else, it buys them a minute to settle down.

    So. Wgas if it "settles" them down. I pitched (of course not at the pro level). Rythym is all a pitcher needs.

    The manager needs to get a read on the pitcher, face to face, to see if he should take him out or not. So it stays. :grad:
