just watched it...great doc! well worth a couple hrs of your time!
The guy was nuts. Those bikes had shit suspensions.
Didn't the guy that set up his jumps do the jumps before he did? That's what I heard.
Oh hell yeah. Was a big hero of mine back in the day
I had this toy, for one day lol
Wait a minute, this thread has nothing to do with Muslims or the economic divide.
they didn't mention that in the doc, but he was definitely a con man. before he did the snake river jump they did an unmanned test run for reporters with one of the 3 rockets he had & they deliberately crashed it, as to build suspense. he was a wild character.
and according to the doc, that's where all his money came from.
I'd call that a showman.
dude, it took me a minute to get that.
I was wondering if anyone was going to.
haha, would've been sooner but i'm half crocked. VACATION
Definitely NOT that guys fucking best day!
Loved that dude. Had a chance to work with his company late in his life / early in mine. VERY glad I didn't. The business plan was a disaster.
I saw the doc, it was good. The one thing that got me was Evel got old way before his time. When he did snake creek he was only 37 or 38 and already lots of grey, looked 10 years older.
The truth is, he should have jumped the sharks and deliberately landed in the pool. He would have died the ultimate legend. His later years were rough and like they mentioned he probably was better off getting killed doing one of his stunts.
From a Jim Rome reset "Do you know who the hell I am?"
Looking forward to it. NOW QUIT CALLING MY PHONE YOU FUCKING IDIOT.
