    they didn't mention that in the doc, but he was definitely a con man. before he did the snake river jump they did an unmanned test run for reporters with one of the 3 rockets he had & they deliberately crashed it, as to build suspense. he was a wild character.

    Loved that dude. Had a chance to work with his company late in his life / early in mine. VERY glad I didn't. The business plan was a disaster.

    I saw the doc, it was good. The one thing that got me was Evel got old way before his time. When he did snake creek he was only 37 or 38 and already lots of grey, looked 10 years older.
    The truth is, he should have jumped the sharks and deliberately landed in the pool. He would have died the ultimate legend. His later years were rough and like they mentioned he probably was better off getting killed doing one of his stunts.
