image.png i was thinking about this today because of all the shit VW is going through....I owned this car (used) for about four years, never gave me a second of trouble, ran in the snow like a champ, the heat came directly from the engine, so it was hot in two minutes in freezing weather, then it was great with top down in the summer......5speed, natch......I miss this car.....
Not the prettiest but the best...

    Good idea for a thread.

My best ever is a Ford Explorer. Not the fastest or sexiest vehicle, but it has run like a champ for a long time. I may actually purchase another used Explorer next month.

    My most favorite car ever....RIP.
Not the cheapest to maintain though, but who cares the stereo was killer and the sunroof was my BFF.

Only motor vehicle I've ever owned.

    It was awesome.

Mine was black with green flames on it (no joke). I bought it like that and the guy asked me if I wanted the flames removed. I was like "fuck no, leave that shit on!" :jj:

I had a 1976 LTD that was great. It eventually ran into problems, but all I needed was a fix-it book. Repairs were relatively easy. Plenty of room under the hood.
I'm driving a 2010 Kia Sportage now that has been awesome. Great winter handling.

2005 Ford Expedition - still own it.
200K + miles. No major problems. It's been all over the country.

I sold it to a young guy 10 years ago and still see it around town. Maybe buy it back :bigthink

200,000 miles with just regular maintenance which I performed. Not a single trip to the dealer after purchase.

2001 Ford Supercrew . (tied with my Expedition)
Only vehicle I truly regret selling. Put 100K miles on it then sold it. It was pristine. Drove better than most cars.

When I was a teen in H.S. I had a 1979 Chrysler New Yorker. It had leather seats, seating for about 8 skinny teens and room for about 3 sleeping in the trunk. It had what I called a rising throne, electric seats with all the options fully loaded. It drove like a nice heavy Detroit motor car. I loved that car. It also had a 360 Inch 4 barrel engine. What more can a 17 year old ask for.

It's all that and a bag of chips. Faster than hell and trouble free.

Most dependable in our weather was my '03 Sierra. Only ever put gas, oil in it and brakes on it.

First car I ever owned. '69 Chevelle. I bought from my cousin for $800. My Dad said, "It's all yours. That means Insurance, upkeep, repairs, gas and parts. I'm not paying a dime."
My first car, my first love.

My buddy's milf mom in HS had one of these. Let us drive it a bunch. Near-death experiences almost every time. Fast as all fuck.
