Contract is up with Sprint... ready to shop around. At least 2 lines. @DrivenByDemons Want to get the upcoming Note 5 for sure for one line.
As of yesterday, you pay full price for phones. Iphone 6+ is something like $650. Supposedly they discounted everyone's rate by $20 and no contracts.
Wireless companies must be wanting to get out of the hardware business. People bitch and moan and try to take their fucked up phones back and it cost those companies a lot of money. It's cheaper if you buy a phone from someone else and have it added to your account. That way they have no responsibility when it breaks. This is the exact model that the wireline companies followed in the 70s or 80s.
This is probably as good as place as anywhere for a rant. What the fuck is it with people having their noses in their phones? I don't mean when you are waiting on someone or not busy. When I'm working with someone and he or she fucking holds me up because of a text or whatever, that drives me nuts. I went off on a boss yesterday for holding me up. He's probably writing up my dismissal right now but it was fucking pissing me off. I don't give a shit if you have your nose in your phone 24/7 as long as it doesn't hold me up. People at stoplights are especially bad. I notice this a lot more in DFW than in the DC area. Some motherfucker doesn't go at a stoplight for 15 seconds, you know he's texting. I've verified it a hundred times by pulling up next to them. In DC, if you don't go in about 2 seconds, horns start blaring. That is probably the difference. If you blow your horn in DFW, you have to watch out for flying bullets.
Waaah.....you paid us $200 up front and $80 per month and you expect the hardware WE sold you to work.....waaah.....
By not having contracts they make it too easy to switch providers. Their model works based on recurring monthly revenue. They stupid.
I don't really know about DC, VA or Maryland. That might be the reason. It isn't against the law in Texas except in school zones.
I can't imagine typing while driving. That is just dumb. I don't even like to talk on the phone while I drive anymore.
