A cameraman who was blown off his feet was able to capture some pretty dramatic images of an explosion in a fireworks factory near Granada, Colombia.

Five warehouses used to store gunpowder were destroyed in the explosion and the resulting fire, according to Colombian authorities. A person was slightly injured and roads were closed, causing major delays along the routes southeast from the country’s capital, Bogota.

I hate when they do that - I replaced it with a Liveleak version.

Evolved people aren't into fireworks Robin.

My earliest memory of my grandmother is a rainy 4th where the whole family was packed into my grandpa's truck barn. My uncles would light the various fireworks and run out in the downpour to set them down hoping they wouldl't tip over or be put out. I was about 3 so my involvement was limited to holding a roman candle with grandma's help and watching the flaming balls shooting out.

This 4th we were in Palm Springs and took in the local show. Couldn't get in the football stadium so sat just outside the baseball field where the mortars were placed (at home plate). We were outside the right field fence about 200 feet from "the works". The grass was filled with irritating ants, so I let my 5 year old sit on my lap. Shells were exploding nearly overhead and ashes and sparks rained on us for 40 minutes or so. Really helped drive the ants away. It was just like old times.
