Any suggestions on what should be on a N&A Best of Show?

If you also know the podcast details please post those too.

when was doc ellis show? Agreed on the rest. the super bowl shows were amazing. especially the first show where i thought artie was going to punch out the radio guy from philly (his son is on N&A sometimes). I love the "goose" coming up to deflect. also, goose mentioned it last week (when they moved up from two round tables to two square ones). the pictures of that show are amazing.

The show with Brian Jones when he was in-studio. Great laughs the whole night. Sorry, don't know the date off the top of my head, I think maybe it was one of their earlier shows? Not sure.

I have about 2 or 3 gigs of the best bits all edited from the full broadcasts; it's an ongoing thing based on what I find funny. When my wife goes on her vacation this week, I'll post the bits, and you should be able to find similar clips on the website. You just need an online stream recorder and boom.

I really wish I did not know this much about N&A.

    Brian Jones in studio
Podcast 01-10-2012 starting at hour 1.
I love how it starts out with Brian's laugh introducing him.

The Danny Aiello interview, of course.

Any time they have a comedian or writer in (except Quinn).

A montage of all the "I'll be fired" and "you're so poor and disgustingly hoemmmless" riffs would be cool, though of course repetitive.

Gunnar, are you making a database of N&A episodes & recaps?

I have a few notes about episodes. Actually, I look at number of times I have played podcasts (going back to 10-03-11). I find my self saying, "I wonder while I played that hour so much last fall".

I blame N&A because, it must be a comedian thing, they work on these "threads of thought" and I stumble against things like the first time Artie doing Fredo's Poppa! scene (last October sometime).

I am way too much of a fan.

    Gunnar,

I will try to get you the dates I called in.
Why don't you call in & tell them that you're their #1 fan?

when the guy would call him Rick the first couple weeks or month. I think the first one Rick even knew it was coming

    Gutter snipes and jerk-offs

When Rick and Marty fight, saying Judy was banging the Knicks fight I remember as being great

    guest call-ins:

    Michael Irvin
    Richard Roeper
    Don Cherry
    Dennis Miller
    Brian Jones
    that dude from Miami, DeForrest
    Gerry V
Mark Kriegel's early calls, when it sounded like he was on something
    Leroy Butler
    Jimmy Kimmel
    John Salley

I'm missing a lot of good guests, though. Some sports guys can roll with it, some can't, some think they're funny but aren't.....................it's a mixed bag, but mostly the quality is pretty high.....................except you won't find a lot of current athletes on the list. Interviews with some athletes are like pulling teeth. The past two nights there were two perfect examples of this: last night they had some D-Lineman from Tampa Bay who was pretty lame until the goodbye, and Monday night was a safety from the Titans who was even worse. But the old dogs like Salley, Irvin, Butler...............most of the time they bring it.

If I had to pick the #1 best guest it would have to be Brian Jones. He is so much a fan and he brings so much to the proceedings and he's having so much fun, the line between guest and hosts melts, and it becomes three dudes just havin' fun.

    other stuff:

    the Jimmy Johnson Extenze talk
any time Artie does the Chicago/Twinsanity accent
    anything involving Ozzie Guillen clips
the Olivia whats her face/Quinn from Jaws talk
any stories featuring glimpses into the life of a road comic
    most conversations with Twinsanity
    Gonzo Sheetrock's calls
Rod from Bayside getting that sports chick to say "Too Fat to Fish" and "Crash and Burn". :D
just about any Artie story, really

    Hall of Lame:

    Geraldo Rivera
    Colin Quinn
    Jody MacDonald
    Dave Schultz
    Karen from Boston
    the song parodies
    when Twinsanity sings
just about any Nick story, really

Karen, put the fuckin lotion in the basket - that line of making fun of that train wreck cunt was great.

That kind of cute chick that wanted to meet artie at the diner and she called in the 2nd or 3rd time and was tanked and artie gave her his .jpeg email address and told her to meet him at the elks lodge or something.

I am going to have to look here up (christie was her name)? I know they were suppose to meet up (twice) at the Malibu diner. I know there was a call in November/December from her 1 or 2 bottles of wine in (on her part).

Be sure to include the Empire State of Boston parody by Artie.
    And the Danny Aiello interview.

Rod from Bayside and Marci in the studio 1/20/12 was great, Brian Jones in the studio 1/10/12 was to me the best in studio guest but my favorite has to be when they did the Jeter gift baskets and Artie said it has Jerry Sundansky's book and they both lost it. That was 12/15/11 hour 3. Hour 2 was their Notting Hill parodies with Mike Tyson and Tebow.

The show finally turned the corner when the higher-ups put their foot down on Nick's political rants, which veered so far to the right as to sound like one of Hitler's lost speeches from 1943. I think it took about 2 months for him to get it out of his system, and now they've figured it out.

My favourite bits off the top of my head:

--The first time Artie came up with "make me a hinge".
--Relating to the serial killer in Silence of the Lambs story.
--The Brian Jones live in studio show
    --The Danny Aiello show
    --the "Ozzy" Guillen interview
    --Olivia Wilde Shaw
    --Notting Tyson Hill
    --the Stallone/Rob Schneider story
    --Boston State Of Mind
--"Does Dan have a life partner?" story
    --"Message too long"
--busting on Jimmy Johnson's "Extenz" commercials with Glen Kowslowski
    --"I hope you get AIDS"
--The Nice Coaches first and second appearances

Whenever Artie does the AROD parody

Arod "Cameron, did you see the game?"
Cameron Diaz "Yes, which one was you"
Arod "I was the one who struck out EVERY time bases were loaded"
Cameron "I thought you were good"
Arod "I am. In May. Vs the Royals"

True Story - Arod actually did get a GRAND SLAM this past May vs the Kansas City Royals!
