    *clears throat into microphone*

ok here is my case for Pedro; not only did pedro pitch in the steroid era and was basically my size throwing the high FM dial cheese to roided out behemoths like Giambi and even just naturally amazing hitters like a young Carlos Delgado(dude was a fucking monster in toronto) and even in Montreal he handled the Sosa's, Bonds and McGuire's of the world to pretty goddamn mild numbers when they faced eachother. teams back then put up huge offensive numbers and for Pedro to essentially be the starting pitcher's version of Mariano Rivera for 7-8 innings a night is fucking beyond stupid...then add the fact that his home ball park was fenway in that era which acted as a pin cushion for most teams back then makes the case for pedro even more compelling

    thank you.

Doc definitely belongs at least in the conversation

couple other candidates that were close but didnt quite make the cut that have pitched in my viewing time are Roy Halladay, Curt Schilling and Johan Santana

Kershaw should be considered too, and the year Greinke just had was ridiculous

    Fuck OP, I'm changing topic.
Strasburg - Has he not lived up to the hype? Is he worth a mega 7-8 yr contract next year?

if the contract is loaded with health related clauses and incentives then sure he is, but the injury history and the way washington has handled him over the years is rather concerning

I thought benching him in Sept. '12 was a stupid move & it's turned out to be completely true. Won't be surprised if that hurts him come FA.
