I thought Roseanne was very good for a few years. good mix of drama and humor. I think Married With Children was pre-89 but Al is one of the best characters ever.

You have good taste, but why list 1989 as the starting date? The earliest of those is from the mid 90's right?
What about Cheers? Night Court? Roseanne was HUGE when live. America loved the Connors. So many more. I'll come back....

    Seinfeld
    Arrested Development
    Curb Your Enthusiasm(early seasons only)
    The King of Queens
    The Big Bang Theory
    The Office(early seasons only)
    Extras(UK)

Most of the rest fall into the "don't watch, not a fan" category, aren't memorable, or I watched only sporadically.

I really think that show gets a bad reputation based on the last few years, the first 5 seasons or so with Steve Darcy were really great, people forgot how shocking that show was when it came out. Malcolm in the Middle is great too, but I don't know that it will be remembered as well as Married With Children (I wouldn't be surprised if they dig that show up to look at changes in American culture in the 90's 100 years from now). Also, how has no one mentioned Frasier?!
