Thinkin' of spending a week or so maybe next month sometime. Stayed at the Aladdin last time but that was 2003. Any tips from regs or locals? Don't give a flyin' fuck about shows, food, clubs, pool, drinking, gambling, or shopping. Just plan on stayin' in the hotel, sleeping late, hittin' the hotel gym and maybe walk around the hotel and toss a few quarters in the slots during the day...and then cab back and forth to fish the strip clubs with Mrs. Clumpy at night.

    Criteria:

    Nicest room for the price.
    Fewest hidden charges.
Good hotel gym...Aladdin had a pretty nice one but it was $25/day/person.

That's really about it. Appreciate any helpful suggestions, especially via PM if you happen to have any kinda real hookup/inside info.

    Thanks in advance.

I hate to stay on the strip, but if money is no object, I would also vote for Bellagio. I like Palms too. They sometimes have good deals. Make sure you ask about 'the resort fees' before you book anywhere.

Is it just to cab back and forth to fish the strip clubs with Mrs. Clumpy?

Stay at the Thunderbird Hotel, it's cheap and you might even get a complimentary stabbing.

Vdara at City Center. With a construction cost of 9.2 billion dollars, it is the largest privately funded development in the United States. It has the largest public art collection in the US. The suites are a hundred and fifty a night, but that is due to the recession. Soon, I wouldn't be surprised if they go up to 500 which is what they were originally supposed to be. There is a monorail that runs between the Bellagio, City Center, and the Monte Carlo.

It's also very close to the Spearmint Rhino.

Wow. Last time we were there that shit was all just construction cranes and materials. The Rhino was going to be our first stop too...last time we were there was mainly business-related for me but while we were there Mrs. Clumpy went to LVMPD to get a license and danced a couple of nights at Rhino (and Sapphire). Tough place to compete just dancing when other broads are doin' a whole lot more than dancing...then again, that's why it's gonna be our first stop this time as customers:D.

Any info on any of the hotel gyms or discount strategies at any of these hotels? I rented wheels last time but kind of a waste when all we really needed it for was to go to 24/7 Fitness and foodshopping. Rather just get a room with a frig in a hotel with a decent gym this time and use cabs.

No. City Center. Before it is out of reach to most of us. It was built as a playground for the rich and famous. When it was concieved and built, the economy was steaming. Then the recession hit. In order to fill rooms, they were discounted 75%. It is steadily creeping up in price as room occupancy in Vegas is now over 90% again.
In a few years we won't be able to afford it anymore.

Strip clubs. Spearmint Rhino, Crazy Horse II (on Russell rd.) Larry Flint's Hustler Club, Deja Vu, Sapphire (Claims to be the biggest). can't really go wrong with any of these.

I can list some off strip strip clubs that are mostly local ones if you want.
