WTF Beth's Latest "Fostering" Scam - Mochi Ball

    The "foster" Beth picked up ONE WEEK ago and renamed "Mochi Ball" has just been delivered BACK TO THE PERSON WHO GAVE HIM TO BETH and his name has been CHANGED BACK to "Kush". Does anyone need more proof that this whole "fostering" thing is a scam and doesn't benefit the cats in any way? Clearly this was pre-planned and designed to get publicity for Beth and deceive people into thinking she's responsible for an adoption. There have been several other cats she only kept for a few days, they were probably similar exploitation scams that were arranged in advance. Here's her original IG post from 01/11:

    bethostern New Foster Mochi Ball's story... A wonderful woman contacted me on IG telling me she was fostering a little nugget with a bad eye infection. I arranged for eye surgery from my eye specialist surgeon at LIVS. He has recovered perfectly and can see out of his existing eye. He is only 7-8 months old and is as perfect as can be!! Playful and happy and a cuddler!! And a kisser! (Licking my face as I type!) I usually keep a foster for as long as he needs me. He is perfect and ready to fly!     The whole idea that babysitting kittens is some kind of laudable charity work is hilarious. It reminds me of when someone on the show (Lisa G?) would eat just the tops of the Crumbs cupcakes and put the rest back.

    Why does the eye have to he removed just because it's infected?? Kittens get eye infections all the time and usually a little antibiotics will clear it up. What the heck!

    So Beth's friend fostered the cat, Beth called up "her" eye specialist (perhaps to arrange for a frequent surgery discount due to all of the fosters with eye problems she has had) and then gives it back to her friend a week later after the surgery? Seems like this mission could have been accomplished without posting any pictures on Instagram or asking saps to apply to adopt the cat she was going to return to her friend.

    I see no "scam".

    For whatever reason the cat changed hands. Big deal.

    The odds that she did all this just for a "deal" on eye treatment is miniscule. Now having a "top guy" doc charging top guy prices for the same service as long as it runs through NSAL/beff, I could see that.

    W as many cats she could churn on her Instagram account there's likely zero need to bring one through the conquerors palace 2x
