As much as I love Breaking Bad, I have my doubts that this can be good. Saul works to provide levity, especially after Walter's turn became more evident, I don't know that a whole series based on a guy providing levity is a good concept.
aw damn it's going to be a prequel.
That's what I'm saying. Saul was a goofy ambulance chaser who found himself sucked in over his head, doing a prequel is just doing a show about a goofy ambulance chaser, no?
AMC didn't want to do it, but other networks were interested ...so AMC, fearing that another network would get it, greenlighted it.
They couldn't do a present-day version.
Exactly. So why do it?
the monkey is IN the banana patch
It is a prequel? Makes no sense.......
It's a great supporting character, but I can't see building an entire show around him. It would be like making Newman the lead in a 'Seinfeld' spinoff.
They can't do a present-day spinoff....and Saul goodman is an interesting character in and of itself. So why not do a prequel??
hrmm i didn't know he was in this - i was watchingg Chapelle show the other day and saw Kube in a sketch
True, but he does have some crazy connections. It might be interesting to see how they were formed.
Go to "Saul's" website. It's hysterical. The commercials are a riot. Be sure to read EVERYTHING that is in the commercials.
Sounds like they're doing a prequel (or say they're doing a prequel) because Saul will be killed off of BB. Would be interesting/bummer watching a show where you know your lead eventually goes to an early grave. Then again, Huell sure is funny.
Huh? If you remember, Mike was originally Saul's guy. And Saul was the one who arranged for Walt to meet up with Gus. Saul was an ambulance chaser, but he was also a lot more than that. He was already deep in the underworld before Badger got busted.
