And yet it's the best the Democrats can do this time.

Sad state the Dems are in these days. No dynamic personalities to be found. Nor are there older, wiser types. Not that Repubs have anyone wonderful, but at least they have a broad spectrum of candidates. Barry had the style, but really lacked substance. Young Bill Clinton was perfect. His wife, not so much. Biden has some charm but doesn't seem serious enough. I like Warren. She's a smart woman. Not sure she could lead a nation though. Who do we have in the hopper?

As though the Republicans have a stellar candidate.

Romney is making noise about jumping back into the fray. If the last election had seen more of the GOP base and the usual amount of AA voters, Romney would've won handily. Many of the Republican voters stayed home, and Obama did a good job of getting 98% of the AA vote with high turnout.

This time I expect to see extremely low AA turnout, and it's tough to say who the middle of the country will vote for, and IF the GOP base comes out to vote.

Meh, he plagiarized an English Politician back in 1988... It wasn't his Ph. D. dissertation or something.

The gropy thing is a little more concerning. Could you see Trump's attack ads of creepy Grampa Joe being handsy?

About six months ago I was in a Starbucks and overheard people discussing Biden. The two people were around my age, which means they were typical Daily Show/left leaning. They said that Biden reminded them of their uncle and that they liked him. Biden has a very real chance to get the nomination.

I honestly think he would really fuck things up just through his wackiness. He seems to lack basic judgment and social graces.

To be honest Biden is the only anti trump the democrats have, if they put up hilary trump will rip her apart and win by a landslide. Yes I believe trump will be the Republican nominee, probably with carson as the VP choice.

What about Alan Grayson? He's better-educated and more successful than anyone running on both sides. He worked his way through Harvard where he earned several degrees and made his own fortune in telecom before entering politics. He's a staunch anti-war, pro-labor Democrat (unlike the Clintons) and supported Ron Paul's audit of the Fed which has great significance to some independent voters. And he got a little national attention for confronting Ben Bernanke and other Wall Street types over the bailout, so he's not totally obscure.

It's one of the great political speeches in American history, delivered a few days before the '36 election. He carried that one with over 60% of the popular vote, the biggest landslide in modern history. And his legacy was almost 40 years of Democratic party domination, ending with LBJ's term. Not bad for a gimp.
