not sure if it's supposed to be up here or not.

but it's funnier than anything you'll hear on Howard's show

I'm a fan of his weekly podcast but his first stand-up special was by far his best. I recommend watching that one to everyone. His next couple were disappointing and then he made a nice little comeback with this one. Also search "night of too many stars, Steve jobs bill burr" for a really funny 10 minute set.

His podcast is definitely worth subscribing to. I look forward to it every Monday.

Is Bill Burr a comedic genus that most would be greatly entertained by?

I like how Sirius has to pay comedians royalties. The game now is to get as many specials out as possible get material on heavy rotation on Sirius. Get Royalties. Tour Make more dough working out new material for another Spacial.

I love Bill Burrs rage. I'm more in line with his rage than say Louis Ck who is just a whiner when I hear him talk. Plus Louis Ck is some pretentious film school dropout or something.

That's his wife. I forgot to add that and it wouldn't let me edit.

IMO he has allowed his wife to ruin his podcast on a too regular basis. :fil:

This this and this. She is so much less smart, interesting, funny, or insightful than she thinks she is, and that's SO annoying. Please shut up, Nia, and let the funny man talk.

So that's The Lovely Nia(TM), eh? Cute.

    I agree.....she is cute.

She was fine in small doses early on and I enjoyed her participation. Then it changed. Now it seems like she feels she is part of the show and belongs......like she is who we want to hear from. Not me. I bailed unfortunately.

What really irritates me is when she thinks she's adding some insight and you realize she's just restating something Bill said not 20 seconds earlier, but in a far less entertaining or thoughtful way. She theoretically is providing Bill a more female, evolved point of view, but she's not that smart, and she doesn't add anything.

Not bad enough yet to make me bail on the whole thing though. :)

He definitely misfired with the wife. It sounds like she is too old to have kids too.

Bill Burr made the classic mistake of settling down RIGHT when he was starting to get big. How does that always seem to happen?

I really enjoyed her first early appearances on the podcast. I thought she was great and added a new dynamic. There were some incredibly funny moments like this one....

But I tend to agree that she quickly jumped the shark because she came on too often and was playing the role of the "strong woman" a little too hard. I think Bill realized this because she has not been on all that much recently. She has only sat in on the viewer questions part of the show once in the last month if I'm not mistaken.

So, overall, I like their wife/husband dynamic and I think she is good in small doses, especially when she is part of the story that Bill is telling. But if she wants to sit in and chime in for 60 minutes, than it's a disaster and she should just get her own podcast........ which I think she was trying to start called "Bitch please" or something like that. I guess it never got off the ground.

Oh yeah, and he's in a new studio now. Maybe he did it on purpose to add some distance, as Lucy kept trying to get in on his act at the Copacabana. :)

    Wahhh Billy!!

1 funny dude. His work on Chapel and breaking bad were pretty good.
