.................I know when it's time to go,†says the man who was Howard Stern’s in-studio celebrity sound-like from 1989 to 1995.

“Howard knew what I brought to the show, and they didn’t want to pay me for it. I’m not the kind of guy who hangs around in the pool after somebody peed in it.â€

"Robin, I fought for Billy and Jackie but I have no control over how much they get paid or in the room when they negotiate"

I think there's a transcription error ... should be "and then didn't want to pay me for it."

Unless by "they," he means the radio station management, and he's absolving Howard of wrongdoing. But I don't think so.

"Robin, I had nothing to do with Billy's salary. KROQ paid him. One day, Billy stopped coming in and I asked Tom where he was and Tom told me they stopped paying him. I was livid."

I'll add the audio later......Stern sure sounded like he pays the talent on his show.

Billy is the only guy who actually succeeded after leaving Stern. He makes a shitload of money for very little work. He can do an entire episode of Futurama or any other show he is on in a couple of hours. West probably makes several million a year for working less than Howard (if that is possible).

The guy has 180 acting credits on IMDB and not one of them is an "audience member" credit.

    Say what?

Love Billy. Best thing on the Stern show ever; yes, better than Artie.

That's a funnier line than the Pelican Face has said in 15 years..

Howard is always counting other money.
In Howards world: If KROQ payed Billy 5000 dollar more, Howard would have less room to negotiate.

I have tried to find out when Howard went from an employee to just License his show (like he does today).

BTW. Where is the secret company that Howard controls that pay everyone? OneTwelve have 3 employes including Howard/Beth.
    Maybe Scott Ostrovsky knows..

Production Expenses: Sirius shall fund an annual budget, not to exceed (redacted),to cover the cast compensation and ordinary production expenses consistent with the way the Howard Stern Show is produced today (other than studio construction and operating costs which are addressed below under "HS Studios"). Any significant expenditures outside the ordinary course are subject to Sirius' prior reasonable approval.

To quote OJ...."What the hell does that mean?"
Where is the detailed description of this? Certainly Howards entire empire is NOT defined by this vague shitty paragraph?

That means the Sirius deal is the same as the testicle radio deals since Stern hooked up with Buchwald!
Everyone gets a paycheck from Sirius but stern is their only real boss.
He hires you and only he can fire you......from behind the coward curtain.
You might get your medical from Sirius.....but you work for HOWARD.
Don Buchwald will write about it in his memoirs.

BTW during the State of the Channels Howard said to Tim..."I am your BOSS!"

Perhaps he can join Jackie on the crtically acclaimed Joke Hunt.

Or "They" meaning Howard was really the one in charge of who was paid what on his show at K Rock. Billy is an odd one though. Mel brought billy from wbcn to wrxk(even though laquidara fired billy in boston). Why Mel didn't get involved in this baffles me, unless Billy never told Mel he was being screwed over.
