I keep hearing people raaaaave about Vitamix ... I'm a bit skeptical, and I worry that if I bought one, I'd never use it. Figure I'd get some feedback from everyone here.

Anyone got a high-end blender, Vitamix, Ninja, et cetera? Do you enjoy it/use it a lot? What do you make in it? Was it worth it?

    Ideas, please....?

See, we've got this points-rewards system at work. I couldn't find ANYTHING I wanted, but then I looked in appliances - they have the Ninja Kitchen System Pulse Blender (3,557 Points) or Ninja Professional Blender (4,003 Points) .... I was kinda leaning towards the blender ...

I have a ninja. I like it but you have to make sure everything is lined up correctly when you put the motor down on the blades or else it will strip itself out.

I have friends who own a vita-mix. It's awesome. It will completely liquify any goddamned thing you put in it, way beyond what a traditional blender can do.

Wife bought a vitamix from QVC a couple of years ago. She killed the first one and they replaced it, she overheated the second one a couple of nights ago.......it started working again after it cooled down.

She made all the soup recipes the first couple of weeks she had it, since than it's just been a really spendy blender. She has a ninja as well, never see her use that thing.

My girlfriend has a Vitamix. I inquired about it and she professed her love for it.....fucking thing seems overbuilt and like it can mix concrete. She uses it almost daily and she has had no issues over the last three years. It made a mean blueberry/pineapple smoothie. I have nothing else to add. :toptip:

It's also worth noting that a Vitamix is like three times the price of a ninja. It's like asking if you should get a bicycle or a motorcycle.

    Well, this is true.

I put the Vitamix in my wish-list; here's hoping someday I get enough points ....

Well, since they're shutting down our dept. I won't have enough points for a Vitamix- I'll get the Ninja instead. :ninja:

    I have a vita mix.
I wish I used it more. I really does blend anything you put in it.

I will use it tonight. Thanks for the reminder. ;)

I am not a heavy blender user so I can't justify spending that kinda dough on a Vitamix, I was kinda hoping to hear some good stuff about the Ninja since it is like a third of the price.

I got my vita mix as a gift. I would not spend that kind of cash on something like that.

Well, I WAS going to get a vitamix using our company's "reward points." But now that I'll be unemployed in a few weeks, I settled for the Ninja. :ninja:

Give me your soup recipies! :lunch:
