I wonder if they will wholesale the inventories, or have clearance sales at the locations.

I thought they died 5 years ago? I can't even remember the last time I saw one let alone stepped foot in one.

I remember going to Blockbuster at 9am with my parents when it would first open on a Saturday morning trying to get the only available copy of T2 or whatever new shit was out that week.

Their model is dead, as is the "mail a DVD" model that even Netflix has been trying to abandon for the past couple years. The headwind on Netflix is broadband capacity, and whether companies like Time Warner will continue to allow hundreds of gigabytes of bandwidth to pass thru their networks for $20 a month.

Obviously NFLX has been performing outstanding thus far, but that largely predicated upon them not being "taxed" by the distribution channels they use to deliver their product.

In the end I hope and think it is moving toward an a-la-carte market by the cable and satellite providers. Nobody wants to pay for LOGO and OWN in the package that gives them ESPN.

I think major changes will be seen in the next 5 to 10 years.

I also believe that Maschine would pay $5 a month for LOGO :grad:

    Thank you.
