    LOUD AND HEIN

Jon Hein, a pop culture poobah who has written books, created and starred on a TV show, and is a producer on Howard Stern’s SXM radio program, can add another occupation to his resume — survivor.

For when we think of the year long battle of the mouths to succeed Adam Schien and join Chris Carlin as co-host of SNY’s Loud Mouths, we see a talented field of compelling voices, hardcore yakkers like Marc (Moose) Malusis, Sal Licata, and Eamon McAnaney.

Then, as the smoke finally cleared, a singular figure emerged from this Wall of Sound — Hein.

“The guys who have been doing this show have been fantastic,” Hein, who will debut Monday as a permanent Loud Mouth, said. “Hopefully I don’t drop the ball.”

His ability to deliver the word will prevent that from happening. So will his passion for sports and sportstalk, which is a biz he’s wanted to enter. Hein is a student of the game, a listener going back to the days of Art Rust Jr.

His experience working with Carlin as a “guest” LM voice brings confidence they can quickly strike a chemical balance.

“When you sit down and do this with people either you click or you don’t,” Hein said. “And the two of us clicked very well. We respect where each other is coming from. We also know how to have fun with it.”

No doubt Hein will draw plenty of reaction. Will his boss Stern, the King of All Media, be checking out his LM performances?

“I don’t know. He’s usually having dinner or maybe going to sleep by then (5:30 p.m.),” Hein said. “It’s a little late for him.”

Oh My! HS will now start to disklike Hein, and their cell-phone friendship may be about to end. Unless Hein got the Turk/Stern blessing for this one, and maybe even if he did, HS will now see this as a betrayal as he won't be spending "his full time" working on the show, and THE HOWARD STERN wrap up show.

When has any staffer gotten a media job and stayed on the HS channels/show simultaneously? I don't remember any and if it did, did it work out? Probably not. The Booey VH1 show was killed, probably by HS guilting the two out. Even Techno-Beaver got canned for one reason or another.

HS does not like people straying at all

I put on LOUDMOUTHS just for a goof, and Holy Shit, he looks horrible. LOL

Fred Wilpon really took the lowest bidder on this one. He was wearing relaxed fix jeans, his shirt was untucked and his sleeves rolled up, and his hair looked, well, looked like Sal-plugs up front.

Carlin and Hein - wow - what a workout for a TV screen. "Harrible"
