Even though I want to punch Jason in his fat face, I would LOVE to see him get promoted on Feb 5th to either co-producer with Booey, or even better, demoting Booey and making Jason his boss. Any chance either of those things happen, or am I even more delusional than Howard?

Someone mentioned on here a theory that Jason will run the office and Gary will handle guests. That seems more likely.

you don't need 3 producers when they don't do the job of one. fire jason and will

you don't need richard and sal because they haven't written anything funny in 4 years.

you don't need anything on 101 because it's complete horse shit.

Well, I'm on board with all that. However, I don't think this is about money. For all the complaining about budget that Howard does, the staff is really a tiny portion. He could fire everyone, and he'd be lucky to save 2% of the budget because Howard's pay 90% of it. I think he wants to pretend he is running a "brand" and trying to do things more "professional". The problem is, it doesn't matter how he shakes up the jobs, he's still got glorified interns working for him.

Never gonna happen, but that's a hilarious idea....

Gary's handling of guests consists of what, perusing teen anal then sleeping in his office while waiting for publicists to call a few times a week asking to book a D-lister?

Lets be frank. Gary has not done anything for the show since year 2 at Sirius. (When most guest realized Howard had no Audience that could move the needle for them)

Fire Gary. Put Jason in charge of the office and will in charge of guests.

That will get anyone not pulling their weight in ship shape.

    Demotion?
Jason could be Garys replacement for 1/5 the marbles for Revolution 3.0
Howard will inform his staff that they ALL better fill the channels with amazing things or the party is over at the end of this deal.

Does Stern get more vacation this year?
Will he disappear for entire months??

Not if booey is demoted or "re-assigned". With Gary there is no Jon hein. We know damn well Gary forces Jon in Howard's face. How do you think hein was in studio in those days robin was out.

You do need three producers to run two channels of content plus special live programming like the roasts or 'Kill or be Killed'. You need someone to produce year round specials and exclusive best of programs of old tapes that couldn't be replayed on K-Rock. You need three producers when the channels are constantly filled with live programming.

Of course two channels with almost no quality programming besides Jackie's show don't need anyone. And Howard working three days a week needs no one. What? You need three producers? One for each day of the week Howard works?
Of course. Richard spent months in between funny bits sending them in when he was just a superfan. Same with Sal. Jackie was a full time joke writer and comedian before coming to the show. Artie was a comedic actor who had some experience with writing. And Howard used to care enough to write bits and write down Stuttering John's questions.

Now they have no writers. Benjy? Sal? Richard? Hacks. All of them.
Jackie's Joke Hunt is as good as any comedy podcast. I listen to it every week. But I skip over Penn or Mark Maron's podcasts all of the time. Carolla is hit or miss as well. If you like standup and dirty jokes then Jackie's show is fucking perfect. When he has his friends cold read dirty jokes it is beyond hysterical.

Yup. Man, I would love for Howard to make an example out of Booey. We all thought it would be bad for him AFTER the show ended, imagine what would happen if he got fired now?

Well, Howard certainly won't be spending any more money. And if he saves any by firing Gary, I don't imagine it will be re-invested in the channels. He will just line his pockets with it. So most likely the money spent will remain the same, but people will get new responsibilities, and Booey will get less.

I disagree, Hein is the golden boy in Howard's eyes.

I don't think Gary is getting demoted, but I could see Hein getting more responsibilty, maybe even coproducer.

I would view that as a demotion for Booey.
