Howie did re-invent Lady Gaga though.
You have to give him that one.
Nobody cared about her. She was old news until she came on the Stern show...:coffee:

It was always a ridiculous critique. The guy that writes the joke obviously thinks they are funny.

If only Howard hadn't heard the Steve Dahl, Imus, and the Bob Grant show...
Gary would be an assistant manager at Burger King...and Robin would be climbing over the counter in her halter top...

i want to hear howard stripped down with a writing "staff". oh wait, we did in the early years and it was horrible.

i think it would be more organic sounding if the person with the line actually got to say the line. of course, you have to make the boss look good and make him look like the comedic genius. lines often fell flat because the timing wasn't there. when artie interjected a line, it was refreshing and often funny but you could tell he was still hesitant to unleash. if howard was a good boss, he would let those around him shine, in turn making himself shine. marbles are for children.

What kind of influence did the Stern show have on the OJ double murder?

Howard eventually had to acknowledge that JACKIE wrote most of the funny on the show when the E cameras were introduced and we saw the note passing.
Imagine if we had Jackie AND Artie together busting on Gary.
I noticed the tapes team cut off a few Booey beat downs.....since he in now a protected species.

the tapes have been as neutered as the hero stern has been since he become hamptons howie.

i found his shit funny when i was young and watching the channel 9 show for the first time. true comedy stands the test of time. watch some of the best comedies and you will still laugh like you did the first time. listening the history of howard stern was fucking sad. some of that shit was truly horrible.
