I know all the acts are from Boston, but this is the wackiest lineup I've ever seen.

Since it's a benefit, would it be morally unacceptable to heckle Dane Cook, Carole King or New Kids?

    Here are my 2 cents:

Aerosmith- yes, I know everyone still loves them and they probably put on a good show

Jason Aldean- never heard of him, somehow I just know he's a faggot Jason Mraz-type

Boston- that's cool, I guess maybe they found a Filipino dude to replace the singer who offed himself in '07 (RIP Brad Delp)

Buffett- his backup band is frickin' amazing

Dane Cook- it's over Johnny, talentless douche snot

Dropkick Murphys- I've heard of them but have luckily never heard their music (they were just added to the bill)

Extreme- we all know about the infamous Gary Cherone...Nuno is a guitar god- we're not worthy!!!

J Geils- Freeze frame....centerfold! Sax solos (douche chills)

Godsmack- I guess they were big in the 90s but I missed it (they were replaced on the bill by Dropkick)

Carole King- time to get up and take a piss

New Kids on the Block- Hope there's chicken wire on the stage 'cause the bottles might come a-flyin'

    James Taylor- I'm not worthy!!

Steven Wright- pretty funny, his subtle delivery is tough to pull off for a stadium crowd

That certainly is an eclectic lineup. Isn't Dane Cook a west coast guy?

It'll be live, not sure about the URL for streaming.

Can't imagine how many hours it goes on for, and they can't have multiple stages. sounds like a cluster fuck

    Dane Cook is from Massachusetts.

I don't think he will get heckled though. I don't know if anyone even knows who he is anymore.

You ever see The Departed? The theme is theirs. It's Irish folk music meets hard rock/punk...whatever the fuck. Good stuff, perfect for a Boston benefit.

I fucking hate Dane Cook, but I guess I can't shit on anybody doing a benefit. Meh.

Id like someone to explain to me what Dane Cook does when he's talking on stage, I'm still not sure what it is.

I see...even though I'm 1/4 Irish I've always hated Irish folk music, and the punk thing I can do without, no wonder they were never on my radar...

Is "The Departed" even worth getting on Blu-ray from Netflix?

Yeah, it's definitely worth a rent. Not Scorsese's best movie, but solid enough.

Very solid, indeed. I've seen it a couple times, and enjoyed both viewings.

The elevator head shot always gets to me for some reason

Have you seen Internal Affairs? It's the Honk Kong flick that The Departed was based on. If you don't mind subtitles, you'd probably really like it. It's pretty fucking good.
