Are there certain brands of products that you use no matter what they cost or what other people recommend you use, because it's what you used growing up?

For me it's Crest toothpaste and Listerine mouthwash and Bounty paper towels

My dad always drove Fords. Although I've owned other brands, I always look at Ford first and have owned more Fords than any other brand.

Tide laundry detergent, Bounce fabric softener, Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaner, Tilex mildew remover, Pledge furniture polish, Pine-Sol, Shout stain remover, and I am sure there are more. I do everything like my mom did because I get anxious if I don't.

I dont know too many - gave up on Tide for the Costco brand, dont drink soda really but if i did i suppose that Coke would be the closest thing to brand loyalty. Have owned 7 different manufacturers of cars, would go to any of them again the same as a different manufacturer. I'm probably just not much of a consumer.

I'm always eager to try new brands but sadly they mostly fail in comparison to ones I grew up with.

Not because of what anyone ingrained in me but I am extremely loyal to brands/stores that have given me a great product for the money or fantastic customer service (Mesa Boogie amplifiers, Rickenbacker basses, Alky Control, Summit Racing). I have a few contractors and local businesses that I use exclusively and recommend highly whenever I can because I have been treated honestly and charged a fair amount. I tend to try and support the small local businesses until it is silly to do so (some keep zero inventory and charge a HUGE premium......that's when I give up).
