Who you gonna call for the much-anticipated "Ghostbusters" reboot? Definitely not Rick Moranis. The reclusive 62-year-old star of the original '80s supernatural comedy films told the Hollywood Reporter he declined to make a cameo appearance in the upcoming all-female reboot because it made "no sense" to him. Moranis wishes the new movie's cast and crew well, but remains unmoved by nostalgic fans clamoring for his return. "I hope it's terrific," said the Canadian actor, who played geeky accountant Louis Tully in the 1984 film and its 1989 sequel. "But it just makes no sense to me. Why would I do just one day of shooting on something I did 30 years ago?" After losing his wife to cancer, the actor took an 18-year onscreen acting hiatus in 1997 to raise his two young kids. Since resuming his career, he has become extremely “picky” about movie roles. Original franchise stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Sigourney Weaver have all committed to walk-on roles in the new Paul Feig-directed flick, which stars comedians Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon as a new batch of enterprising paranormal exterminators. Moranis, who starred in "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" and its sequels, said it's "hard to come up with original material" for film franchise reboots. "Occasionally, they get it right or else they wouldn't attempt to do these things," he said. "I'm surprised that Disney hasn't done 'Honey, I Shrunk the Grandkids.'" The actor also did not join a 2014 photoshoot for Entertainment Weekly's "Reunions" issue, which wrangled together Murray, Aykroyd, Weaver, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts and director Ivan Reitman for the first time in 30 years. Feig's "Ghostbusters" hits theaters on July 15, 2016. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertai...8?ref=Outbrain&ADLocation=footer&ADPosition=2 I cannot wait for this piece of SHIT to BOMB.
