He retired on Sunday. And today he is dead.
That's terrible his Vietnam coverage was unbelievable and groundbreaking. Fantastic reporter.
Time for Beth to break out her smart girl glasses. She and Howard have another celebrity funeral to attend.
Whenever I hear his name, I hear Artie dismissively saying, "Whatever Morely..."
Wish I could remember the context he said it in.
...wow r.i.p. dude. thats fucked up.
RIP, I liked his reporting.
The 60 minutes special on him this past weekend was really nice. It's no surprise that he died. He probably knew he was terminal.
"They say the number one killer of old people is retirement. People got 'em a job to do, they tend to live a little longer so they can do it."
-Budd, Kill Bill Vol. 2
Dude was a great second or third fiddle and he made a great career out of it. He was never the best or the star of 60 Minutes, but he did his job well and should be admired for what he did. RIP.
holy shit. that totally sucks. he was a very good reporter.
Turrible! Just Turrible! Where will the Wig be seated at the service? Oh that's right he can't be bothered....
Always liked him. RIP.
So I think only Dan Rather is left now from the original cast.
When I retire, I hope my retirement lasts a little longer than his.
Rest In Peace not even remotely funny man.
And the Social Security Administration is all like .
They did a special segment on him Sunday night
Four days of retirement.
