He should be able to check it down almost 7 yards in Mile High’s thin air!

Joe will always have place in my heart for winning us a championship, Complete stand up guy even when he sucked never threw anyone under the bus when he really could have because the team did nothing for years to really help him. Wish him the best with the Broncos. But Joes time here was done a couple years ago and past the time to move on from him.

Was that the Dave Wannstedt years? LOL It was some left handed bum that beat Joe out. Think it worked out pretty good for Joe.

    Good memory :jj:

Yep, local Pittsburgh kid Tyler Palko beat Flacco out for the starting job. Palko was great in high school but was a flop in college. Flacco probably made the right decision.

Broncos continue their winning qb tradition. Sam Darnold must not have been available.

    Good pickup for Denver
Flacco is a serviceable quarterback and that’s all you need in the NFL to win 7-9 games.

They signed Keenum last year for two years, $36 million, with $25 million guaranteed. Peyton Manning bought Elway some time, but the guy has no clue.

Keenum's 2017 season with the Vikings was a career outlier. He is a journeyman backup, nothing more. Flacco will be an improvement, but probably not a tremendous one. Broncos will need to play lights-out defense.

As for the Ravens, I'm still a skeptic on Lamar Jackson. Running QBs don't last long in the NFL...especially ones who are not built like Cam Newton. Jackson has to make a Russell Wilson like transformation. Otherwise it's not a question of if he gets an injury that knocks him out for at least several games; it's merely a question of when?

Once those types of injuries pile up, he will slow down and be ineffective. ***cough*** RGIII ***cough***

The thing that bought Elway some time was winning a Super Bowl :grad:
