Brent Stover just tipped off he may be the Nick replacement.

I've been kind of lying in the weeds all depressed about the changes and this isn't really helping. While I was on hold tonight (and never got on) I heard Brent Stover slip or just blurt out "OK DAN...WAIT TILL ARTIE COMES IN MONDAY AND WE'LL HEAR ALL ABOUT YOUR LIFE IN CHICAGO TOGETHER!"

He says something else in the same vein subsequently as well. Now Brent's a nice guy, nice n safe, nice n milquetoast, and Artie clearly needs a straight man mouthpiece type because Nick couldn't have been a better cohost and fit, at least for me. But this hot-Stover-league may or may not be a temp job, I guess we find out for good Monday????

 

Did Brent fill in on his own tonight arm? I didn't get a chance to listen.

 

Yes, he was essentially by himself but Dan Felato, Shane, and even the twins had a more active and forced vocal role for him to bounce off. Needless to say I've seen better chemistry from Iced T and Belzer on LAW & ORDER.

I for one did not HATE Brent on the show like everyone else seemed to. I mean, if you REALLY want the Artie Lange show then a guy like Brent is sort of perfect cause he keeps his mouth shut for the most part.

HOWEVER, nick was FUNNY. At times. Brent is well, not. But hey, we'll see how it goes.

The Artie show is gonna crash and burn. Might be fun.

Unless they want to bring in a rotating guest host, or have Artie host his own "talk show" type format (which I think would be genius), this won't fly.

such a bunch of morons, the host of that show isn't supposed to try to one-up Artie lange, or shoe-horn in his comedy. The Rick and Artie show didn't work precisely because of that.

 

Good conspiracy. Well....decent at least. My theory is that one of the hosts is using heroin so the other host walked away from the show. I won't reveal which one though...though you're probably smart enough to figure it out on your own.

I agree, but I do think that at least one of the times Artie was out, it was because of the current situation, not because he was sick or high.

Calling him Rick is a reference to the early days of the show, one of the callers kept fucking with him by calling him that and it caught on.
