It's been posted multiple times in THE PRINCE THREAD
Seen a band called the record company in Mercury bar Nyc Friday night. They did a great prince cover don't have to be rich to be my bitch
then one more wont hurt.
Nice solo by Nils
Thanks for posting. I'm sure there are lots of nice tributes lost in that monstrosity of a Prince thread.
Very heartfelt, as you say. And Nils did kill it with that solo.
Admittedly, listening to Bruce try to do justice to those "woo hoos" at the very end of the song was a little bit like watching HPE try to take the MCATs, but I can still appreciate the effort.
Is purple rain grape soda and what exactly did Prince mean by "I only want to see you laughing and drink your Purple Rain"?
Speaking of which, when is this ass pirate going to publish a tribute version of his immortal classic in tribute to Prince?
Who has time to go through all that shit?
Thanks for posting.
I am not really a fan of Prince or Springsteen but thought this was very well done for a man of his age.
I like it very much!
If he had lived Prince would sue to make them take it down. LOL
Bruce has done a few tributes on this tour.... Bowie, Frey, now Prince. Touching.
Sad to think of the day when others shows will include "this one's for Bruce!!!" and they play Born to Run.
Admittedly "beauty is in the eye of the beholder," but as a casual Prince, and avid Bruce fan, IMO, Springsteen and the E Street band did a better job on this Prince composition than did Prince himself!
Why don't people in the audience just shut the fuck up and let Bruce (or any other performer) sing?
When I'm paying that kind of money for a concert I don't want to her a middle aged accountant or soccer mom singing every single word.
She wore uh raaaaaspberry head scarf...
I hope he checked to make sure they had enough appropriate bathrooms for all the transgenders.
