I was listenting to Bubba's shows on RadioIO today because I'm not paying for Howard on SiriusXM anymore. He said he is definitely coming back to SiriusXM this year. Why would SiriusXM pay him when you can get his terrestrial show and his uncencored show for free on RadioIO?

I think that's why he isn't back yet (the issue of money versus whether he should simulcast it for the publicity to gain affiliates), but Bubba definitely pulled in a big trucker audience regardless of how you feel about him. The thing you have to remember is that cell phone reception is sketchy in the midwest, so streaming io isn't an option if you're going over the road, plus Bubba has a handful of affiliates so picking him up that way isn't an option either. New car sales and truckers are still the backbone of SiriusXM subscribers.

His show is fucking awful now. No Spice, no 25, no Hatley... plus his no-talent sister.

Oh, I agree. I think if those truckers signed back up now for a show sans Brent Hatley, Spice Boy, 25 cent (and don't forget Gene Lasker), they would be quick to cancel again.

do not believe anything bubba the scam sponge says .

Sirius corporate wants nothing do with bubba or his lawers. they know how is as scammed people with radioio stock and that was a stock scam.

also bubba lawyers are facing legal problems of there own. and Sirius do not want to put up with it.

If this is true, I'm guessing they'll want to put him on one of the channels that is available to both Sirius and XM, like they did with Artie's show so I doubt he'll be returning to the Stern channels.

Being fair to Bubba, he said himself that SiriusXM negotiations were dead as long as Karmazin and Greenstein were there, but when Malone took over they apparently reached out to him and restarted negotiations. I still listen occasionally, and he's hinted several times that they basically are saying "Look, just let us simulcast it for free so you get affiliates like our political talk channels" and Bubba wants some straight up cash. I'm not defending his show, though, it sucks now.

he is not coming back at all.

lets say you where running Sirius would you want to do business with someone who was involved in stock scam and who's lawyer is facing legal problems of there.own?

You know Sirius and Howard ALLEGEDLY did almost the exact same thing, right? Except the SEC never investigated Bubba.

He mentioned sept 1 as a start date at SiriusXM in last Fridays show. Also implied that he would not be on 100-101.

It wouldn't surprise me if he ended up on the Road Dog channel. I would assume that SiriusXM won't pay him much (if anything) for the show...he'll probably get a cut of advertising. I don't listen to his show, but it sounds like his staff has been cut way back...so fewer people to pay.
