Florida Bar has accused lawyers Robert Adams, Stephen Diaco and Adam Filthaut of misconduct They are accused of instructing paralegal Melissa Personius to get rival lawyer Phil Campbell drunk and then delivering him into the hands of police Campbell was representing shock jock Todd 'MJ' Schnitt in a defamation lawsuit against his on-air rival Bubba 'The Love Sponge' Clem Prosecutors later dropped DUI charge against Campbell saying his arrest had been set up http://dailym.ai/1KSgAaD
I can't believe Bubba would associate himself with anyone that wasn't completely above board and honorable
Yes, their legal strategy was taken out of a sitcom, but in their defense their client had dates with 2 women scheduled at the same time. He wasn't thinking clearly.
Guys are assholes. Just because she dumped and divorced his ass now suddenly he grew a coincidence and had to "come forward". The Diacos are hacks but no one made the guy put his drunk ass behind the wheel and drive away from the bar. He thought he was going to get some ass that was way too young and too cute for him and walked right into it. Coincidently he was fired from his partnership because he was an alcoholic with prior DUIs who had signed an agreement with his firm that he would not drink during any actual trials let alone the night before he was supposed to deliver his closing. They should all get dis barred but it's Florida so they will all probably get the keys to the city in Tampa.
IIRC Schnitt used this entire thing as an excuse to get out of paying his legal bill after he lost. Which he would have done even if the Diacos hadnt of done something this stupid. The trial was all over but the closing and it was a slam dunk for Bubba. And they would have gotten away with it too if they had made sure the cops took the guys briefcase out of her car when they arrested him. The whole thing came apart the next day when the Diacos firm had to explain why they had the opposing counsels notes and how they got them.. It was like going for a two point conversion when your already up by 25 points in the fourth quarter by running your franchise QB right into the middle of their DLine. Fucking stupid
I remember when I was a kid and I thought "noble" professions like this were full of nothing but smart men and women of integrity. Now I just assume each lawyer is a scumbag with no morals...until proven otherwise.
What's the difference between a dead deer in the road and a dead lawyer in the road? The dead deers has skid marks in front of it.
