And what is the worst place you every worked? & why?

    http://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Don-Buchwald-and-Associates-Reviews-E331441.htm

    “Environment of Paranoia ”
Former Employee - Agent Assistant in Los Angeles, CA
I worked at Don Buchwald & Associates full-time (More than a year)

    Cons

    - Serious lack of communication - Clock-in, clock-out mentality - Overall negative morale - Upper management = case study of cognitive dissonance - Agents don't trust one-another, do not work in teams - Benefits are a near nonexistent; no 401(k) match, bottom-of-the-barrel health insurance, no other monetary perks - The word "no" runs rampant across all departments - Egos get in the way of truth and real problem solving, leading… Show More

    Advice to Management

Get some real leadership in place, and foster a team mentality. There's a reason William Morris Endeavor and CAA have amazing clients. Happy employees = happy clients.

“Negative work environment. Poor communication. ”
Former Employee - Agent Assistant in New York, NY
I worked at Don Buchwald & Associates

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

Good to put on resume because the agency does well in other departments. But the theater department is a sinking ship - no communication and absolutely no support system. Horrible work environment. Unhappy people. Very frusterating work environment for myself and the person before me and before him. Bad energy - very low pay. Would not recommend this job unless you are desperate to break into the industry.

    Cons

    No team environment, no leadership.

And from someone who turned down a job.......

    Reasons for Declining

The salary was $25,000/year, which is why I declined the job. Are they serious with this pay? It was an insult, I don't know anyone that could survive in New York City on $25,000/year. It was a joke.

I wonder if Marci Turk came to THSS specifically at Bucky's suggestion to tighten up the ship and shit on the crew as necessary. That way, Plugtard still had plausible deniability when it came to creating a crappy environment AND he got still more marboes.

    Fuck Bucky, too.

Don't remember the specifics of Marci's resume when posted, but essentially she had no relevant industry or professional experience, seemed to be somewhat of a dilettante when it came to unrelated and lateral job changes and appeared to have no upward mobility in terms of being promoted for merit within the companies that knew her best. This is off my top of the head recollection but as someone who's reviewed literally thousands of executive and key/upper Fortune 500 management level resumes over the years, my impression was that she must possess some strong "oral skills" to have scored that job! Too many red flags to think otherwise. So that would be another case of "the blind leading the blind"

Scored that job? what job - with Howard? I'm sure that she isn't making any serious coin they job seems outwardly desirable because it's with Howard, but if you care one bit about yourself or how much you make, they job is probably shit.

Wait! I am confused. Are these the glassdoor.com write ups for Buchwald and Associates or the Stern Show? They seem interchangeable.

GREAT find, @Dlist! Maybe we can base a show theme for dawgshed on Buchwald and Associates (@SomerSky @teehee) ???

Even for me - I'd love to crack the books on that fourth wall. I know for a fact Buchwald crowbars blackmailesque 7 figure deals for Robin and Fred packaged with everything Plughead does. Whether SIRIUSXM or CBS finds them remotely valuable or not to their audience.

I seem to remember that Howard was all excited about Marci Turk when he was going through his GTD method of task management phase. Apparently, she was a practicioner of GTD, and Howie thought that made her a savant. Don't get me wrong, I'm actually a fan of GTD, and task management in general (I'm kind of OCD), but it doesn't take a genius to do it - just read the materials and follow along... Of course, this is a man who thinks he married a multi-lingual/savvy author/English major who thinks ice cream is free, so there's that... I guess that doesn't answer the question of where, exactly, Turk was discovered.
