In 2007, Howard did an interview with someone named Denny Somach in which Led Zeppelin's potential acts of copyright infringement were discussed. As a result of the publicity, two new lawsuits were filed (one related to Dazed and Confused, now another related to Stairway to Heaven).

I remember this.....I was shocked how much of the first album was "Lifted".......But the "Stairway to Heaven" Theft of their opening acts original song was shocking......
I can't believe it took this long..................

Dazed and Confused does have some similarities (title, general vibe, and descending chord progression) but IMO they are different enough to say not a ripoff. The Spirit song is nothing like Stairway.

Seriously, Dazed and Confused is even more blatant than Stairway.

Chug that Zeppelin dick, but never put down the likes of a P. Diddy or other thieves.

The songs can still be good, but like Jimmy Page that notion isn't enough for you, you want the credit for originality when it doesn't exist. It's like when YouTube music videos are preceeded by 'NetDouche69 presents....'

Start this video around 2:40. Zeppelin's claims that it was "independently created" is bullshit. Page did a cover of the song when he was with the Yardbirds.

Bullshit story directly originating from the offices of Don Fuckwald.

Led Zeppelin has been involved in plagiarism lawsuits since LZII.

Dazed and Confused is the most blatant rip off, Page even used the same song title, I guess he was so arrogant that he thought nobody would ever bother to check. 40 years of royalties is a lot of fucking dough that Zep should make up. A songwriter is very aware of their influences and I'm positive Page knows clearly what he ripped off. As a consolation, he does look like an old Maude now I guess.
