I was just reading an article. Ever hear of Aereo? No.. not "areola" nutballs.. "Aereo." Well it just might change the face of TV. In a nutshell Aereo is a pay streaming internet service kinda like Netflix but for network TV feeds. And if you subscribe you can watch network feeds live, and also have a PVR "in the cloud" at Aereo. So you can record shows and then watch them later at your convenience on your internet device. Well the networks don't like this at all and two big ones, (above) are threatening to go PPV. (FYI Aereo gets their feeds from the air... and anyone with an HD antenna can do it as well.) So Aereo may just change the face of cable TV as we know it. Who knows.. I just found it interesting that a wee internet startup company is rocking the very foundation of the networks. But I am already there anyways. Haven't had cable TV in 4 years. I bought a cheap notebook and stuffed it in the entertainment stand.. connected it to the TV with an HDMI cable.. and have a wireless keyboard with a built-in trackpad sitting on the coffee table for control. Stream everything off the net to the TV, sports, movies, TV shows, docs, YouTube.. it's all there. Works like a charm.
