I love hockey. I think it's the best sport going. And I've been a big fan for decades..... but until I heard this sports show Saturday morning talking about the record stat I never thought about it. Take the Detroit Red Wings. Their record is 29-20-11. You look at that and it doesn't look too bad. Right? It's actually pretty bad. The record in reality is 29-31. But because the way it is shown it doesn't appear so. Wtf? Why does the NHL do this? I understand those are OT losses and the loser gets a point, but wouldn't: 29-31 (11) be smarter? Is it to give the illusion of better records? I don't get it. That said, wow the year the Washington Capitals are having.
