    I never got it. I was also born in 1982. My parents are New Yorkers so there was never Elvis in my house growing up.

    Google Play had some albums of his for free so I got them. There are a few catchy songs but I don't get the big deal.

    Help me understand Elvis fans

    Can't help you. I never got him, either. I can see why the chicks went crazy because he was a good-looking kid back in the day, and he had that swagger, but his music? Yawn.
