South Carolina woman pulls gun on lover after he rejects her sexual come-ons: report Michelle Smart was arrested by Spartanburg Sheriff’s deputies and charged with domestic violence. She threatened to shoot boyfriend after he rebuffed her advances, authorities said. BY Deborah Hastings NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Wednesday, February 18, 2015, 5:59 PM Police Handout Michelle Smart was arrested by South Carolina deputies for allegedly pulling a gun on her boyfriend, who thwarted her desire for sex. Michelle Smart did not live up to her last name when she allegedly pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot her boyfriend because he wouldn’t have sex with her. Sheriff’s deputies in Spartanburg County, S.C., arrested Smart, 30, after she “continually was changing her story throughout the investigation,” according to a deputy’s report posted on the Smoking Gun website. Her live-in boyfriend, Ryan Rucker, 33, told officers he had been asleep when Smart climbed on top of him and tried to initiate sex, the report said. Smart acknowledged that “he rejected her and pushed her off him.” An argument followed, with Smart threatening him with a Ruger and saying “she would shoot him because she has the gun,” Rucker told investigators. Deputies found the woman outside the couple’s home. She told deputies Rucker had hit and kicked her and that she didn’t know where he was, the report said. But after knocking on the home’s door, Rucker answered and “was not visibly upset,” the report said. He told deputies the two had argued and that he had stayed inside the home out of fear Smart would shoot him. Deputies arrested the woman on misdemeanor domestic abuse charges. She has been released on bond.
