A lot of those weekend warrior racers spend their own money to race, and all week getting their cars ready to race. A fistfight on the track can happen at a moment's notice.

And what an asshole to floor it when someone is hanging on your car. He's lucky he didn't kill the guy.

Cross the finish, take off your helmet, get out of the car, and take your ass-whoopin' like a man.

Well, that's the only kind of racing I want to watch then. Watching Nascar is like watching hockey without the fighting.

    That was enjoyable.
But I never understood a so called "sport" with people watching smelly noisy cars going endlessly round and round in a circle
Not too much in the brain I suppose.

They get in big time trouble in the Nationwide & Sprint races for any aggression, foul language, or anything else fun. Bad behavior loses sponsors, ya know.

If you have a paved local track, then you have a recipe for fun!

Cuffed them right on the track. That's priceless.

There are a number of youtube fights from the Bowman Gray track.

Seems to be a whole thing.

I'm assuming this place is somewhere in the Carolinas?

That looks like it would be fun as shit to go watch, at least once.

We have Kansas Speedway out here, but that's just the big boys, and Indy cars once a year.

It's like that every week. We go there to watch a friend that races a modified.

Packed house every week. Redneck heaven.

White People's version of Ghetto culture. Blacks just adopted it from Southern whites during slave times.

That track is 30 minutes from me. Used to go out there couple times a year to watch a race and it's just a giant cluster fuck now. History Channel did a series there called "mad house" that followed the drivers around during the week. It drew a ton of attention to the track and now it's got a jugalo gathering feel to the place. They used to run actual NASCAR stock cars there up until the early 70's. I can't imagine 30 plus full sized cars on that track at one time, but they did it. Richard Petty won a few there.

How big is the track? 1/4 mile?
