Shockingly enough not all celebrities are self serving fan pissing cock suckers...
We've heard about Johnny Depp visiting children's hospitals dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow, but who knew he actually has the Pirates of the Caribbean costume with him at all times?
"Sometimes you go to kiddie hospitals and things like that," the actor explained while promoting his latest flick, The Lone Ranger (in theaters on July 3). "I'll just sneak in and go and surprise a bunch of kiddies through the different wards…It basically turns into a two-, three-hour improvisation and it's really fun. So I travel with Captain Jack."''
"Keanu Reeves gave $80 million of his $114 million earnings from the two sequels of The Matrix to the special effects and makeup staff. He is quoted as saying “Money is the last thing I think about. I could live on what I have already made for the next few centuries.”
In terms of nice and charitable and I know I usually have fun here and joke around a lot and I know I'm going to get shit on for this, but after meeting him a few times, it's by far......
Keanu rocks. You never read a bad thing about him. Always like his movies too.
we have a winner
I had no idea this guy was as decent as you describe. Amazing!
Robert Downy Jr. overcame a ton of demons is now a truly nice person
In 1976 Steve Buscemi took the FDNY civil service test when he was just 18 years old. In 1980 Steve Buscemi became a New York City Firefighter.
For four years, Buscemi served on one of FDNY's busiest, Engine Co. 55 in Manhattan's Little Italy. He later left the fire service to become a successful actor, writer and director.
After 9/11/2001... Brother Buscemi returned to FDNY Engine 55.
On September 12, 2001 and for several days following Brother Steve worked 12-hour shifts alongside other firefighters digging and sifting through the rubble from the World Trade Center looking for survivors.
Very few photographs and no interviews exist because he declined them. He wasn't there for the publicity.
Daniel Radcliffe is all about his fans
One of my friends's uncle was a talent agent who handled Marc Price (Skippy from Family Ties). We took him around Boston for a weekend shortly after Family Ties ended. He was great and down to earth. We had a great time. I guess not A list so to speak, but he did share screen time with Mallrory.
Whenever I have seen these guys interviewed they always come off as nice people.
David Beckham is apparently really down to earth
I was college classmates with Gwen Stefani 20+ years ago before she and the bang hit it big.
They were well known here in Orange County, but werent getting air play and handnt broke national yet.
But she was super super nice and kind. Soft spoken. Just over all hot.
We had a 8am fall class together. Only 24 students in a studio art class.
She would always show up in a green leotard with no bra. Grey sweats and some kinda hoodie over top.
Met Danny Trejo, Jim Gaffigan, and Shaq. Extremely nice and down to earth. Many have said Paul Newman was one of the nicest celebrities of all time (and most charitable).
I'm Deppianado and he's the real-deal!! He was voted like "Best autograph signer" (DiCrapio being the worst) and "most approachable" and "Most crew friendly A-lister" like several years in a row in polls with people in the biz and various fans.
I've been very disappointed in Depp's lazy film choices lately and mid-life crisis but NEVER do I not love the way he treats the PA's and servers the same way he treats Penelope Cruz or Helena Bonham Carter.
He's MASSIVE international beloved star and could be SUCH a dick and get away with it and isn't ever. @stuttering john melendez has a story about Depp helping him move music equipment into the Viper Room like he was a roadie.
Took the VIP tour at universal florida and tour guide said Steve Tyler from aerosmith was very pleasant. Saw flav o flav in las vegas hilton walking the tables and he had all the keys on, clocks etc. He is not well liked by the croupiers. Ron Jeremy was at hardrock and was having a good time with everyone.
Only on the Internet would there even be a debate about whether or not he did the right thing here.
"yea he probably knew he was being filmed...total douche!!!"
I've met Toby Keith and he was very nice. He also gives a lot back to charities and the military
If there's a more standup guy in Hollywood than Gary Sinise, I don't know who it would be.
