Here we go again
She was resisting Robin, Hoo Hoo Hoo
If you can't subdue a woman without punching her in the face a dozen times, you shouldn't be in law enforcement.
A lot of cops are insecure dicks who abuse their authority.
Also rain is wet.
Is that right? Please explain your logic to this officers widow...
Woman found guilty of killing cop after CTA bus incident
A middle-aged West Side woman was found guilty Wednesday of disarming a Chicago Police officer and murdering him with his own gun after he confronted her about an altercation on a CTA bus.
Robin Johnson also was convicted of one count of aggravated discharge of a firearm for shooting at an officer who came to help colleague Richard Francis.
“He underestimated her,” Assistant State’s Attorney Jennifer Coleman said Wednesday.
“He underestimated the situation. He underestimated what she [Johnson] was capable of,” Coleman said.
Johnson was “aggressive, hostile and angry,” prosecutors told jurors in their closing arguments, describing Johnson’s actions against Francis and the four officers who came to his aid.
I am saddened by your example. However, your article doesn't give the details. Did she pull the weapon from his holster when he was not paying attention or during a struggle?
not even close to funny...
If I was a cop these days I would just assume I'm always being filmed when I have the uniform on. I guess they don't have an IQ test in training....
Well that certainly appears over the line.
I don't think it was over the line at all. When a cop has to make physical contact with someone (to arrest them), they have no idea what will commence. This chick was crazy enough to be walking on the free way, and resisting arrest. He ended up on top of her, but her arms were still flailing all around. he did not know if she had a gun, a knife, a hypodermic needle, etc, or if she was going to pull his gun. He had to stop her from flailing and since she did not respond to his commands, he used physical force. I see no problem with it.
I work on the management side of a service business. We tell the guys weekly to assume every last client has home security cameras running
And every week we get calls from people who say they have video of one of our guys pissing in their yard (once into the AC unit), smoking in the house, running off the driveway into the lawn when backing up, etc
People don't listen and don't care if it conflicts with what they want to do
He should be able to restrain an unarmed woman without having to punch her in the face a dozen times.
Too dark, even for you dummy.
Usually one or two does it but ever now and then you get a real wildebeest .
You're cop. You would have no problem restraining an unarmed woman without punching her in the face, right?
For what it's worth, I came across a little app today while viewing a similar situation where surprisingly, all cellphone video by witnesses was deleted by officers.
It's called Bambuser. www.bambuser.com .
It sends the video to servers (as it's being recorded) in Sweden (even on a 3g connection) where it's untouchable by law enforcement.
The app is banned in many Middle Eastern countries for obvious reasons...
Have I punched a woman in the face? Absolutely. It has been very rare and extreme cases.
Generally punching anyone in the face has little impact on being able to gain control. Joint manipulation and strikes elsewhere (I prefer the kidney area) break a person's will to resist with less effort and injury to the "perp".
The kidney punch is great unless the person recently had a transplant. Whoops!
