Howard is dying for Seinfeld to ask him on this show, as much as he hems and haws.
correct, he wants Seinfeld to ask him and then he can turn him down and make a huge stink on the radio about how he is too busy to do a show for the internet
I tried watching the first part of this with Seinfeld and Larry David but it came off as empty and pretentious. Not EVERYTHING you do is funny, Jerry. Come up with some material and present it. What next? Jerry Seinfeld goes grocery shopping?
Who are these people who go grocery shopping anyway?
What's with the self check-outs? Why must we wait for approval for alcohol items? Are you seriously going to try to use a coupon here, buddy?
Exactly. I still cant figure out how Howard feels and thinks that hes a comedian. Benjy Jackie and Fred write/wrote for him and when hes on his own he shows how unfunny he is. He was never able to respond to an insult in a witty manner. It was always "slut pig" this or "rat bastard" that. He never was a comedian and never will be seen as one by anyone outside of the Stern universe
Who are the fucking retards that let steinfeld take their cars out? Let that motherfucker go buy his own vintage Lamborghini.
My muddah always said "don't let the heebee kikebergers drive your car chippah".
I never expected these to be funny. But I find it fascinating to see how these people interact.
I think Seinfeld is a car freak like Leno. He has a gazillion carsin some fancy NYC garage. I don't think the shows are funny either but they are interesting. Jerry looks like hell. He was on the Colbert report and Colbert was asking why Jerry is always yelling.
I've watched a few and that's how it is. Jerry and company sit around discussing comedy like they're curing cancer. Jerry comes off as a huge elitist asshole. That's why I was surprised when he was on the show and he said he wasn't an elitist.
Saw the rickles one for 10 minutes, very boring.
I think Howard will not do Jerry's show for several reasons:
First, Jerry will not ask him -- he only asks comics he respects, has some history with, and feels are truly funny. (On Seinfeld's appearance a few weeks ago, he point blank asked him something like "Do you think you're funny enough to be on my show?")
Second, like the George Takei documentary Howard refused to participate in, if there's no money in it, I doubt Howard has any interest.
Trapjaw and Nebbish! Jerry staring hilariously at wig. My faaaavorite.
I watched all of the episodes this year - not comedy gold like the hilarious bits on the HSS, but to see the interaction between Jerry and the guest.
Howard isn't a comedian and only eats a few almonds a day, so this isn't his kind of show - plus he'd want to be a "partner" with Jerry on his segment so he could get $ if it got enough online views.
It's definitely not funny, possibly amusing once or twice a show. But the reason I watch is to kind of see these personalities in a normal environment - not on stage. Unfortunately, they still can't be themselves because they are filming. I think me and my friends in a car are much more funnier than these shows. They should have some actors on the show too, I would like to see how vapid they are.
It's shop talk. What'd you expect? Two lawyers talking would be the same thing, same for 2 anchors. It is what it is. But I find it incredibly fascinating.
Seinfeld is doing 12 of these a year. There are only so many "comedians" he could do this with -- and Howard is one of them. It would bring the show great publicity. Also, Howard is Jerry's bitch.
