Man, I've been blessed to have amazing food this weekend. My venison summer sausage came out in a league above any I've tried, venison or otherwise. Christmas Eve was trays of summer sausage, kolbasy, assorted cheeses, meatballs and a huge variety of breads, spiced crackers and desserts. A bunch of the family is beer geeks, so there were beers I've never even heard of to be sampled. Last night my wife made lasagna that was better than I've ever had; she also made a Caesar salad and added marinated grape tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. Homemade garlic bread topped with smoked paprika and Mexican oregano was incredible. I just got done peeling baby backs and putting them in an OJ-based onion and garlic sweet marinade. They'll be smoked and grilled over mesquite this evening. I hope you all are as fortunate as I am and have full bellies and glasses !
