I run it on a high end smartphone (Sony Z3) and a decent tablet (Nexus 7 gen. 2). Lately it hangs, it's slow, it crashes, and it feels all around unstable. I don't know what they're doing with it because it used to be great. Ever since they put out Lollipop things have gotten slower and buggier. It sure looks pretty but the last version of KitKat was solid as a rock compared to this.

    Anyo else noticing this?

yeah, I had one too and they used elcheapo RAM and other internals in the 1st gen and after a few months, or maybe it was a firmware update, it was fucking useless. iPad has been flawless

The 2nd Gen doesn't have that problem. It's a fine tablet that doesn't slow down after a while. Most other apps run just fine.

Using Opera now. Interface takes a little getting used to, but it feels a lot more solid.

    Me too :lo5:

    Best value ever.

Working fine for me on a Nexus 6, but for whatever reason they decided to default put your Chrome tabs in the recents list. So, I had a metric fucktonne of Chrome tabs mixed in with my recent programs. Saw that the setting could be changed to keep it the way it was and immediately went back.

The nexus 6 is a new generation device. Maybe that's why. It's seriously shitty on both my devices.

I also use SwiftKey, and it did weird things on this website when writing a new post in Chrome. Cursor jumping around and shit. It still does in Opera, but a lot less.

And yeah, I also immediately turned that feature you're talking about off.

They put out the Nexus 9, which is nice also, but I quite like the size of the 7. I think they mostly dropped it in favor of the Nexus 6. A lot of people seem to find it too big, though. It's a friggin' huge phone.

Yep. It worked much better on the old version. On lollipop, you can't have multiple tabs and it runs slow as shit

    I would wait until 5.2.

Android 4 also took a year to get decent and stable. They put it out too soon.

I haven't noticed any problems with Chrome but there is a known radio leak that causes battery drain that Google is working on a fix for.

I'm running cyanogenmod 12.1 which is Lollipop 5.1.1 on a nightly build, it's fairly stable and runs the phone way better than the stock Android that's originally on the phone, it's just a pain in the ass to root and install on the phone.

I like lollipop for the most part, biggest thing that irks me is the lack of customization of the quick toggles in the notification shade, and the fuckery they did with the sound options going from silent, vibrate and ring to all, priority and none.

This is why I like going with a custom ROM, I can modify the notification shade and it's been rumored that in the next version of android you will be able to set restrictions on what apps have access to what. Like why does a calculator app need access to my contacts? These are things I can already do with Cyanogenmod.
