Howard related because he makes fun of star wars fans.
Never watched this cartoon before as i kind of avoided anything that was back story stuff in the star wars universe. However I am watching the last few episodes of season 6 and it answers a lot of questions about how Yoda learned how to become one with the force, and the story of what happened to Sifo-dyas(the Jedi who clandestinely commissioned the creation of the clone army.)
Aside from the voices being disappointing, the show is actually really good. Any star wars fans here want to give me their opinions?

That show is actually better than the prequels. It seems to 'get' what Star Wars fans like in a way that Lucas had already forgotten by the time he was making Ep123.

Im one of the rare star wars fans that actually likes the prequels. Episode 3 is my second favorite star wars movie. And I'm old enough to remember the originals in the movie theaters!

The unaired episodes (aka sixth season) aren't as good without Ahsoka. The dynamic between Anakin, Obiwan and Ahsoka was the best part of the show - now the focus is back on the clones, banking clan, politics and Anakin's relationship with Padma...all of the things that made the prequels horrible.

I havent seen padme or anything you speak of yet at all, just watching yoda going through all these trials to learn how to live forever through the force.
I guess I'll have to watch the first 5 seasons then because I'm really enjoying the 6th. I have no idea who Ahsoka is.

I gotta say i enjoyed them as well! They weren't great but i didn't find them nearly as painful as the masses seemed to. Granted i am not a huge star wars fan. I dug them when they first came out and i was little kid, but wasn't the biggest fan in the world or anything so thats just my 2 cents.

The second one was my favorite. Aside from young boba fett... "Get 'em dad!" When people complain about the newer movies they love to hammer Jar Jar binks, who was annoying, but young anikin and young boba fett were far the worse in my opinion. Those fuckin kids were haaaarible.

When I say originals I meant episode 4,5, and 6.
    I'm 37.
Star wars came out in 1977 when. I was a year old. Few years later it was re-released right before Empire strikes back and to it they added the "episode 4-a new hope" moniker to it.
I didn't hate episode 1or 2 at all. Little kid anakin was annoying, but that was the actors fault. I think they miscast that Jake Lloyd kid.
My favorites are the scenes with Palpatine/Darth sidious because I knew he would later become the emperor. So I was watching his dialog to see how slick he was tricking everyone into giving him power.

In the Clone Wars series, does Dooku know that Palpatine is Sidious?

YEah the emperor was always one of my most favorite charactors in the original films. So creepy, and back in the day the lightning from the fingers was fucking more bad ass than the lightsaber!

My Favorite scenes from the prequels...... Obi and Boba fet in the rain.... Loved the Darth Maul lightsaber battle in the first one.... Loved Yoda Vs Duku..... Loved the Space Scene with the accoustic bombs when obi is chasing Jango and his annoying fuckin kid.

There's an early episode where Palpatine intercepts and covers up the clone chip related to Order 66. Then Dooku reports to Sidious that He (Dooku) has contained the threat. But shouldn't Dooku have known that Sidious/Palpatine already knew?

    My fav scenes from prequels:
Yoda vs. Sidious (I always wanted to see the emperor use a light saber).
The end of episode one at Qui Gon's funeral and Marce windu asks yoda which Sith was killed, the master or the apprentice. Then the camera focuses on Palaptines face.
Anakin and Kenobi vs. Dooku in episode 3 and An akin cuts his head off.
Anakin kills the entire sand people village because they killed his mother.

I don't know that scene. I haven't watched it. I only know from the movies. I just started watching the cartoons today and started at the last 4 episodes of season 6 because they are about things I always wondered about in the prequels.

I didn't mind the prequels either.
Episode 1 was the weakest, but Darth Maul was sick!

I have them all on blu ray. The first couple of seasons aren't that great but they pick up around the third season. I read somewhere the series was a trial run by George Lucas to see if Disney would be a good choice to buy Star Wars. Apparently he liked the cartoon.

Those didn't make sense to me. In the last movie, Yoda tells Ben that Qui-gon would teach him how to become a force ghost. But, in the cartoon, Qui-gon says he never learned how to do it because he never completed his training. And the witches (or whoever the women were) say Yoda was chosen to have the power to become a ghost, so was Vader chosen too?

Inconsistencies in franchises drive me insane. And don't even get me started on the Mortis planet episodes.

EDIT: Yes, I realize I'm a grown man wondering about this.

So lucas creates a classic villain only to kill him in the final reel of the movie. Proving he has lost touch with what ever muse he had in the 70's
