Ever wonder why many stars who are not funny and don't do ahit at box office spew endless political commercials every chance they get. Really read how Hollywood and tax breaks work. It makes sense how manatees as funny as testicular warts stay employed

OK I speak rudimentary internet so I think I can decipher.

Everyone has political comments (guessing this is what you meant v. "commercials") but the celebs get cameras recording their every utterance because the genpop is obsessed.

Everyone gets tax breaks. Some people and/or industries have more loopholes and mechanisms to take advantage of said breaks.

Did you mean "It makes no sense..."? Yeah no look listen, fame is a strange thing. Especially in today's world. Adam Sandler turns out garbage that still makes $100M at the box office. Lena Dunham keeps taking clothes off and people look & talk about it. A manorexic Joey Ramone clone that won't shut up about not working has TWO jobs in entertainment. A kid-toucher in the heartland gets to keep his show. ...and so on.

I saw one of these shit threads elsewhere.

People with absolutely no business sense think that investors should pay taxes on money-losing ventures.

Sure, if you have to pay taxes on your losses, you can kiss investment GOODBYE. There won't be money for anything.

The NY Post had an interesting article last week. It compared how alleged "movie star" George Clooney makes flop after flop yet is still considered a powerful Hollywood A-Lister, yet The Rock cranks out a string of hit moneymakers, but nobody thinks of him as being in the same league as Clooney.

I looked at a list of Clooney's top box office films. None broke $200M, and other than Perfect Storm (never saw it, don't care to), Batman and Robin (part of a franchise), and the Ocean's series, none broke $100M. Ocean's 11 was 14 years ago and was his top film. It's been a steady decline since then. Some of his top 10 grossers are doing just $60M.

It is amazing how he's considered such a big film star. I find all of them I've seen bland, with Ocean's 11 being the only one I'd rate as entertaining.

hey guys kinda crap thread and i thought it was hilarious the criticisms ie this thread is a flop kinda rookie but i will try to improve. i guiess i mean to say that actors that seem super untalented or funny can still have an economic benefit for the studios ir lena's obama commercial and then five years of a show with no ratings makes you say hmm until i read how large tax breaks these studios and newscastewrs get

the only mega stars that never let me down in the movies are
    Tom Cruise and Leonardo DiCapro
I have to give those guys props. I can't think of one movie that wasn't watchable that they did.
I'm not saying Vanilla Sky was good but it was definitely watchable, I find Tom Cruise's bad acting and vanity shots very entertaining when the movies are bad but the last 3 Tom Cruise movies I saw, I really liked.

This has everything I look for in a shit thread. Indecipherable title? Check. Absolutely atrocious grammar? Check. Politics crammed in when it seemingly has no place in the topic? Check.
