    Former USC coach Steve Sarkisian may have screwed up his college coaching career, but he wants his former employer to pay him $30 million for being repeatedly drunk on the job. In August he embarrassed the team in an alcohol fueled rant to boosters. Should he win, he could end up fat, drunk and stupid...but rich too! Good luck Steve and Fight On!

    "Former USC coach Steve Sarkisian has filed a lawsuit against the university, alleging that the school broke the law for firing him without allowing him to seek treatment for alcoholism, which is defined as a disability under the Americans With Disabilities Act.

    The lawsuit claims that "instead of accommodating Steve Sarkisian's disability, USC kicked him to the curb," and that USC failed to follow California law, which requires it to make a "reasonable accommodation" of Sarkisian's request for time off to get help."

    How do you even file a lawsuit for that much? It must cost a lot to just file. What kind of lawyer would take the case?

    I think it is the amount left on his contract.

    If he went to them, said I have a problem and need to enter rehab, and they fired him, I think he would have a case. What happened though is there were numerous times he was at official team functions/practices while drunk, they canned him, and then he went to rehab. I think he's fucked in court.

    Sad. This all started when his wife left him and the divorce battle is said to be quite bitter. Dude let pussy get the best of him.

    I guarantee he was employed under a contract, we have no idea what the terms of a valid termination might be in that agreement.

    Some contingency based lawyer probably convinced him to sue, figuring they would get something just to avoid bad publicity.

    $30mill on the table, no one is just walking away w/o fighting for anything he can get. Especially if a settlement like that isn't considered Income and so it wouldn't be used to calculate alimony and child support.

    The Mercury News estimates that Steve Sarkisian’s salary is $3.25 million.

    He had a little over three years left on his contract. Not sure how that equals $30M.
