Anyone else love this show like me?
Love it and the interesting guests. One of my favorites is Glynis McCant, the numberologist. Even got her book - "Glynis has your number"
I used to listen when I would drive home for two hours from Atlantic city on the AM dial. Half way home I would lose the signal and have to search for another station that had it. It's a fun crazy show about conspiracy theories and crazy fake shit, but it's fun how they take it seriously and almost make you believe. But I wouldn't listen at home to it.
I used to listen before Art Bell bugged out after his wife died and turned around and married either his late wife's sister or her neice and moved to the Philippines.
I listened to George Noory for a while but I don't know.
Tt's a lot easier to take UFO & paranormal conspiracies from a guy who lives in a fortified encampment out in the county of Nye in Nevada than it is from a guy who lives in a cave outside of St. Louis.
I miss Art Bell.
I remember once they had audio of some miners in a cave that recorded the sounds of hell, in Russia I think. At 1 AM in the morning it's creepy as fuck especially when they take it like it's serious, but it's obviously a hoax, They have a lot of crazy callers too.
wait a second... I remember that as a farmer who called Art one night from somewhere like northern Michigan or something and claimed a sinkhole had developed on his land. He thought he could hear noises coming from the hole so he lowered a cable down with a microphone on it... etc.
Or the one about the guy who claimed to have shot and killed a yeti and stored it in his deep freezer? But Art had to warn him that if it was really a yeti he could be facing federal charges for shooting an endangered species?
Or that goddamned Richard C. Hoagland and his serialized exposes of the giant temple on Mars?
George Noorey on SiriusXm channel 164
shadow people, I think I saw one once.
George Noory mails it in, warm body occupying a chair & headphones
Art Bell had a great radio voice too, especially for the middle of the night. I'm not into UFO, paranormal but anything on BigFoot and I'm in. I also liked when they did LizardKing, DBCooper, crazykillers stuff. Entertaining stuff indeed. I also liked that I could use my transistor radio and now there's this midnight radio stuff on affiliates that's all right wing, NickDiPaolo should join em.
from a guy who started during the art bell glory days i just dont hardly listen any more. noorey's emphasis on psychics and spritualists just isnt what i want to hear.
bell could find the loons and make em great. time travelers, bigfoot experts, area 51'ers, chemtrailists and all other conspiracy theorists had a open mike to say just about anything. now its just a bunch of new age spiritual hokum.
Great late night listening. Nothing like asking a North African cab driver to throw Coast to Coast on for the drunk ride home
mid-1990s Art Bell was the best -- men in black, crop circles, Y2K disaster preparedness, "the quickening", fuck, I miss those crazy days
when I was lookin for the sounds of hell I also saw thias right below...LOL Noory busted!
I used to miss him, but I got tired of his flaky ass on again-off again retirements and I am convinced he had a hand in the death of
his wife so he could marry a 12 year old version of his ex, as far as I'm concerned George Noory rules.
Art should have his brain pan drained.
One night a real fucking loon called in to Art who sounded exactly like my mom, went by my mom's name and who was calling from the same province. I thought for sure my mom had flipped her lid. Even called her first thing the next day to ask her about it.
She laughed and insisted it wasn't her, but if she were crazy, would she even know it was her, even if it was?
