    i'm officially switching to iced coffee mode so i'm full on in cold brew mode. love this shit for iced coffee:

    1 cup coarse ground coffee beans (i like stumptown)
    2 cups filtered room temperature water
    1 french press

    add ground coffee into french press.

    add water to coffee grounds and stir with handle end of wooden spoon or a chopstick so that all the grounds are wettened.

    let sit 2 minutes.

    stir again.

    put top on french press an push down the plunger about 1/2 inch into water/coffee mix.

    put in fridge for 12 hours.

    now you have coffee concentrate. mix with hot or cold water at a 1 part coffee concentrate to 4 parts water (or milk or combo of milk an water).

    enjoy that shit hot or cold. better than hot brewed coffee X 10.

    btw...

    after 12 hours, press french press plunger down an pour concentrate into a sealable/air tight jar or container. keeps in fridge for 2 weeks, but i think 10 days is more like it.

    you can filter it through a regular coffee filter when you pour it out a the french press if you want.

    this way to prepare coffee tastes way better for iced coffee an has way less bitterness an acid than hot brew, so it's better for sensitive faggit stomachs.

    As I am I dink, I think that this Thursday past was the official day for the switch, it was so nice and warm that it just felt like the thing to do. I always tell them to put a touch of hot coffee in to melt the sugar first unless they have liquid sugar, then they can put in the cold coffee right off.

    I had a cup of instant at a friends place a few weeks back, and I was shocked at how good it was. I will never buy instant mind you, but it was surprisingly good.
