It sucked balls and Howard comes across as a big asshole and I'm sure Jerry, in private, would admit it.

It was douche-painful, not one goddamn funny line from Scarf-Ace. There were awkward moments, but no funny ones.

And the "conversation" was so dysfunctional, Wiggly can't even talk- his eyes musta been darting back and forth, and he prolly felt Jerry was driving too fast.

If you take all the epic moments in one season of Curb your Enthusiasm and compare it to every episode of Comedians in Cars getting Coffee, you can easily see who was responsible for the success of Seinfeld. Not that this was in question, just saying.

    I liked it. :dontknow:

How often does Stern take a passive aggressive beating like that?

it's cool. It was actually a really long thread, worth the read. The consensus was that Howard came off like a big neurotic douche and Seinfeld "facilitated" that outcome.

He takes those beatings quite willingly from people who have a greater level of fame than him (100% of the film industry, 75% of music or TV), or are so secure in their work and lives, they don't give a shit what Howard thinks (James Caan)

The worst part about it for Howard is that it was obviously edited down to the most entertaining it could possibly have been with all the footage they shot, and it was still a train-wreck.

There was nothing to salvage about the episode.

It wasn't a good episode, agreed. There have been other stinker episodes of CICGC, though. Todd Barry this season was the most dull guest in history. Season 1 and 2 had some clunkers, too... usually comedy buddies of Jerry's whom you never heard of (and, upon watching them on the show, quickly realize why).

Even the Colin Quinn episode kind of sucked, because Mario Joyner came in and was incredibly unfunny, prompting Jerry to fake-laugh his way through their entire meal.

Howard was exposed in that episode & I think even Howard knew it wasnt going well - he knew Jerry is going to rip on him with Chris Rock :) But wow hearing a guy talk about Therapy. Holy shit every other minute we heard every angle of Therapy... He's gone from being the best interviewer more in a lawyer style of busting someones balls INTO he's a 2 cent therapist!

Now add drinking hot water? Not wanting to eat a piece of chocolate?? Sure its not something he has to do everyday but to hide he's as weird & out of touch as Michael Jackson now... drink a cup of coffee, eat a few fork fulls of cake. Make conversation - be normal, be atleast funny??

This dude also brought his "wig person" for a car ride & sitting in a cafe for a few hours??? Wow reading Jerry's face through this whole interview was classic!

Probably the saddest part was he actually said he was TIRED from sitting in a car & then walking from the car & sitting in a cafe. Kinda sad to see Jerry & Howard are the same exact age - Jerry looks normal & great - Howard looks 15 years older then him.

...you dont need anymore evidence than that to know its a wig. no other reason to have her there at all times. i wonder if she has to follow him around to social events like nsal or shitty movie premiers.

I have watched several episodes lately and can't get past Jerry's fake doubled-over guffaw face he makes at every semi-funny comment made by his guests.
