There are bits that at the time, I laughed my ass off over and over again but when I watch them now, I barely crack a smile. I guess it shows how much times have changed as the "shocking" bits are now the norm. Below are two that I used to think were hilarious. Now? Not so much. It makes you appreciate how the greats like Carlin still "hold up".

I never knew Tim Thomerson was a comedian, I thought he was always a bad movie actor.

Sam Kinnison. Seemed like a fun guy, never really made me laugh as a stand up. Sorta reminds me of Artie.

I have to disagree on Dice. Dice's stuff is still funny. If you look back at some of his stand up in the late 80's it still holds up. In fact, if he did this act today he would be labeled the bravest man in comedy.
Let's face it, Fat chicks are still fun to make fun of and if no one is looking - I'd still get a blowie.. OH on your face chunk!

Weird how we are all different as humans. I think Sam was great then and think he holds up.

I thought he was the funniest thing in the world back in the '80s. Now I cringe when I hear his bits.

But I do indeed celebrate our different tastes! Otherwise we'd be stuck with one lowest-common-denominator piece of America's Got Talent crap as our only option.

I'm ashamed to admit that I thought Amy Schumer's first CC half hour special (CC presents) was pretty funny at the time. I can't stand her now.
